Our Mission
Guided by the general mission of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, the mission of the Missouri Spine Center is to provide the highest quality of care to persons with spinal disorders. We will strive to provide the most current information and highest education possible to our patients. We will investigate and conduct novel research focused on the best possible treatments for persons with spinal disorders. We are committed to providing a dignified and compassionate atmosphere in which to build a partnership with patients. We recognize that our patients are the most important members of our team, and will strive at all times to provide up-to-date information and quality innovative care.
Our Goals
- To establish and develop a center of excellence in the treatment of spinal disorders.
- To provide innovative, state of the art care for persons with spinal disorders.
- To treat each individual with dignity and respect, and to recognize that the patient is the most important member of the team both in the clinic and in the operating room.
- To provide up-to-date information and education to patients, families and health-care providers about spinal disorders.
- To conduct research that will add to the existing body of knowledge about spinal disorders.
